"Hole in the Park" Walk

A magnificent walk/hike in a little known area of Forest Park. It is called "hole in the park" because it was, until recently, private property. It was acquired by Portland Parks and recreation and is now part of the Forest Park trail system. The hike is close to civilization but seems so remote. The only sounds one hears is  occasional traffic noise from highway 30 or a horn from a ship navigating the Willamette River. The wildflowers are exquisite especially in April when the Trillium are in bloom. Treat yourself to a fantastic walk in the woods. more. . .
